The Berks Photographic Society provides both amateur and professional photographers with a unique facility and organization to engage in their pursuit of the most satisfying and inspiring hobby: capturing light.
The Berks Photographic Society was established in 1938 as the Berks Camera Club and is one of only a handful of photographic organizations that owns its own building, housing a 60-seat auditorium, a large studio, B & W/color darkroom, finishing room, lockers and a social room.
Berks Photographic Society is an organization that offers opportunity to the beginning as well as advanced photographer to participate in and achieve maximum enjoyment of one of the most satisfying and inspiring hobbies. We provide weekly programs, workshops, seminars, and an Annual Photographic Conference.
Berks Photographic Society also provides photographic support and services to other non-profit organizations and the community.
We are a non-profit organization of active enthusiasts working in the mediums of digital, color, black and white, and print photography.
Our regular programs are every Monday evening at 7:30 PM EST (except July & August) at the Berks Photographic Society building at 40 North Noble Street, Reading, Pennsylvania. Please check out our current program schedule.
